CRM Plugin for Confluence

Installation

Install the CRM Plugin for Confluence Add-on in the standard way as you do for any other Atlassian Add-ons.

Prerequisites

  1. If you are using the plugin to connect to Salesforce, make sure you have your security token to login. Please refer to https://ap1.salesforce.com/help/doc/en/user_security_token.htm
  2. The plugin requires an active internet connection to connect to Salesforce/SugarCRM to retrieve information

Configuration

Once the plugin is successfully installed and licenses are applied, please follow the below steps to complete configuring the plugin for use.

 Configuring plugin with Salesforce
  1. Navigate to Go2Group CRM Plugin -> Configuration in the left hand panel of Administration section.
  2. Select Salesforce as the CRM type. Enter your username for Salesforce. Enter your password along with the security token and click Save. For more details regarding generating your Salesforce security token, refer to https://ap1.salesforce.com/help/doc/en/user_security_token.htm
  3. If authentication is successful, you should be seeing the below screen.
 Configuring plugin with Sugar CRM
  1. Navigate to Go2Group CRM Plugin -> Configuration in the left hand panel of Administration section.
  2. Select Sugar CRM as the CRM type. Enter the username and password and the soap url and click Save. Typically, the URL is the address of your Sugar CRM instance appended with /soap.php. Example, http://localhost/sugar55/soap.php
  3. If authentication succeeds, you should see the below screen.

Usage

  1. Choose to insert a macro on the page where you would like the CRM data to be displayed. Click on Insert and select "Other Macros".
  2. You will find the Go2Group CRM Macro under the Confluence Content section. Select Go2Group CRM Macro.
  3. You can now define the CRM record you would like to display.
  4. The plugin allows you to apply a WHERE clause. You can also choose the fields that needs to be displayed. In the below example, only the fields name and phone_office are going to be displayed.
