Related Fields

In CRM systems, there is an account (e.g., Burlington Textiles), and then there are several other 'objects' related to account, e.g., contacts and opportunites. This 'related' relationship is used in Go2Group's CRM plugin to automatically fill the related fields using the (v1.1-en) ajax lookup. For example, the user is searching for accounts and the plugin has been configured to have related fields like Contact and Opportunity.

First, you would set up the custom fields in JIRA that are 'related' to the account field. If the below example, the Contact and Opportunity fields are related to the Account field:

The effect of this is on the issue create or edit or search screen, selecting an account (e.g., Burlington Textiles), will fill in the 'related' fields, e.g., the Contact and Opportunity fields.
