(9.1-en) Adjust Test Cases in a Test Cycle

To make the test plan and test execution more flexibility, you are allowed to adjust Test Cases from a Test Cycle. For the different status of Test Cycle, synapseRT offering different options to add or remove Test Cases.
Note: Test Cases those are presented in a Test Cycle are referring to Test Cases added in the Test Plan.

Below are the ways to adjust Test Cases:

  • Add/Remove Test Cases from Test Suite view
  • Add/Remove Test Cases from Flat List view

Add/Remove Test Cases from Test Suite view

Adjust Test Cases from a Test Cycle in "DRAFT" status

Note: you are allowed to either "Add" or "Remove" Test Cases (from Test Plan) to/from "DRAFT" Test Cycle

  1. Launch a Test Plan issue
  2. Click a Test Cycle which is in "DRAFT" status
  3. In Test Cycle page, click "Add/Remove Test Case thru Test Suite" button
  4. From "Test Plan Members" dialog box, select/deselect the Test Cases those you want to add/remove to/from the Test Cycle
    Note: You can select multiple Test Cases by using combination key "Shift + Left Click"
  5. Click "OK" button to finish Test Case adjustment

Adjust Test Cases from a Test Cycle in "ACTIVE" status

Note: you are ONLY allowed to "Add" new Test Cases (from Test Plan) to "ACTIVE" Test Cycle

  1. Launch a Test Plan issue
  2. Click a Test Cycle which is in "ACTIVE" status
  3. In Test Cycle page, click "Add Test Case thru Test Suite" button
  4. From "Test Plan Members" dialog box, select the Test Cases those you want to add to the Test Cycle
    Note: once you added any new Test Case to Test Cycle, it cannot be removed anymore
             You can select multiple Test Cases by using combination key "Shift + Left Click"
  5. Click "OK" button to finish Test Case adjustment

  1. Launch a Test Plan issue
  2. Click a Test Cycle which is in "DRAFT" status
  3. In Test Cycle page, click "Add/Remove Test Case" button
  4. From "Add/Remove Test Case" dialog box, select/deselect the Test Cases those you want to add/remove to/from the Test Cycle
    Note: You can select multiple Test Cases by using combination key "Shift + Left Click"
  5. Click "Modify" button to finish Test Case adjustment

Adjust Test Cases from a Test Cycle in "ACTIVE" status

Note: you are ONLY allowed to "Add" new Test Cases (from Test Plan) to "ACTIVE" Test Cycle

  1. Launch a Test Plan issue
  2. Click a Test Cycle which is in "ACTIVE" status
  3. In Test Cycle page, click "Add Test Case" button
  4. From "Add/Remove Test Case" dialog box, select the Test Cases those you want to add to the Test Cycle
    Note: once you added any new Test Case to Test Cycle, it cannot be removed anymore
             You can select multiple Test Cases by using combination key "Shift + Left Click"
  5. Click "Modify" button to finish Test Case adjustment
