Requirement Issue

Requirement is a standard JIRA issue type in synapseRT.

An issue type Requirement is created automatically upon installing the synapseRT add-on in JIRA. The add-on also provides the flexibility to map other custom issue types as Requirement. 

If you have your own issues types as Requirement issue types, please map the issue types to the synapseRT Requirement issue type.

Requirements

The Requirements section show relations between Requirements. There are two types of relations between Requirements: "Parent" and "Child". You can either set up relations by linking existing Requirements, or by creating a new Parent/Child to the current Requirement.

Test Cases

Users are allowed to add one or more "Test Case" issues to an existing Requirement. Once a Test Case issue is added, the relation between Test Case and Requirement has been set up. If the user opens the corresponding Test Case issue, she will see the Requirement is listed as well. This gives the user the ability to check Test Case coverage for the particular Requirement.

Defects

This section displays all Defects those are reported from associated Test Cases.

Versions

This section displays all Versions created from this Requirement issue.
